It wasn’t all that long ago that I was photographing little Jamieson while still a bump in his mommy’s belly. As cute as that belly was, I have to say I think Jamieson’s cuteness trumps all. Just nine days old, he was alert and taking in everything during part of the session and sleeping sound the rest. Between new mom and dad, and grandmother who flew in just in time for his birth, Jamieson is one loved lil guy!
A few years back, I took a doula course (click here for more information on what a doula is
), and I was absolutely fascinated by the class discussions and lectures, a rather more grown up and less first-hand version of an interest in pregnancy than stuffing a pillow up my shirt, as mentioned in a previous post. Ursula invited me to be her photographer and doula for her second birth. It was my first time witnessing a new little life being born, and it was such a privilege to be there to support her and her family and to tell her birth story in photos. You did such a great job, Ursula; I’m so proud of you! Thank you for allowing me to share these images.
Have no worries, the following images are rated PG. :)
Welcome to the world little Jesse!
